All deer and turkey hunts
| All priced for 1 deer or 1 turkey, to harvest an additional deer (doe only) or turkey there
is an additional $150 fee. Your hunt will conclude when you have harvested your animal or your
scheduled hunt time ends. If you fill your tag/tags early you are more than welcome to stay with
us and enjoy the lodge until your hunt ends. If you have not harvested your animal, you may stay
and hunt longer at an additional charge, depending on availability. Border Bucks wants you to
have a successful hunt! |
Obtaining Licenses
All licenses need to be purchased online prior to arriving.
Missouri licenses may be purchased online
from The Missouri Department of Conservation, or you may download the free app "Mo Hunting" to your
phone and purchase through the app.
Iowa licenses are all by lottery(draw). We hunt Zone 4 for turkey,
Zone 4 and 5 for deer. The application time for turkey is usually late December to late January.
Application time for Deer is usually early May to early June. Iowa has a preference point system.
Our archery hunters are drawing tags with a minimum of 4 preference points, 5 is the guarantee.
Our Gun Hunters are drawing tags with 1 preference point, 2 to be guaranteed. Late Muzzleloader
tags are drawn with 1 preference point. If you are thinking about hunting Iowa in the future,
you may purchase a preference point only during the application time to increase your chances of
drawing a tag. Preference points are $60.50.
Anyone hunting with a firearm in either state will
have to provide proof of a completed Hunter Safety Course, if born after Jan. 1, 1967. |
